Great to hear that eBay Partner Network is officially live for registration after a long time testing and development. This is a collaboration between eBay Network and Half.com in the hope to compete with other affiliate networks like Chitika eMiniMalls, TTZmedia and WidgetBucks.

We are really excited to announce that eBay’s new global affiliate platform, the eBay Partner Network, is now live and ready for registration – so register and start migrating your links from CJ to the new platform!

During April 2008, you can receive an additional 5% bonus for all traffic sent through eBay Partner Network in April 2008 (bonus applicable to traffic sent to Half.com and US, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, India and Spain eBay sites). The sooner you migrate, the more you’ll earn, so get stuck in.

You’ll still have access to your Commission Junction account immediately post launch. However, please aim to finish your migration to the eBay Partner Network by May 1st, 2008 as we anticipate access to parallel reporting to discontinue shortly afterwards.

Payment methods are also announced following the launch notice in the eBay Partner Network Blog and you can select which options are the best for you.

You will be paid monthly on around the 25th of each month, in one of the 5 currencies we support: US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Australian Dollar or Canadian Dollars. We offer two methods of payment – you can choose either Direct Deposit (available in 11 countries) or Paypal. Both options are free and please note that for Paypal no premier / business account or cross border fee will apply!

Good luck to all eBay publishers!

Just got a message from eBay saying that they will launch their new global affiliate platform called eBay Partner Network on April 1, 2008. So, affiliate program through Commission Junction will no longer be available and everything will be included in the new platform.

Here is the full message I have just received via email this morning, hope you did get this one and preparing for the transition.

Dear Tinh Van Tran:

We are excited to announce eBay’s new global affiliate platform: the eBay Partner Network.

The new platform will go live on April 1st, 2008 PST, at which point eBay will no longer be running its affiliate program through Commission Junction. Beginning April 1st, affiliates should register with eBay Partner Network and migrate their links from CJ to the new platform.

While CJ and ValueClick have been valuable partners to eBay throughout the years, we’ve decided to give our affiliate community a customized experience for eBay affiliates.

All the great tools and benefits of working with the eBay program will remain the same – access to the Editor Kit and affiliate API, the flexible destination tool, the great payout structure. In addition, the eBay partner network will provide several new features:
• Easy global registration to multiple countries simultaneously
• New, targeted banners and rich media creatives
• New landing page optimization and geo-targeting capabilities
• More detailed reporting capabilities for eBay’s programs

The eBay Partner Network and Commission Junction will run in parallel for one month through this process, so please plan to complete your migration by May 1st, 2008.

You can receive an additional 5% bonus for all traffic tracked through eBay Partner Network in April 2008 (bonus applicable to traffic sent to Half.com and US, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, India and Spain eBay sites). The sooner you migrate, the more you’ll earn! Just:
• Register with eBay Partner Network on April 1, 2008
• Confirm your registration, and obtain your new identifiers
• Update your links with your new identifiers.
• Reminder: Please plan to complete migration by May 1, 2008.

You will receive more information and step by step directions for the transition on April 1st. A special help desk to answer your questions about migration will also be available starting April 1st. You can find more details, including a list of programs that will be affected, at http://affiliates.ebay.com.

Thanks for being a valued partner. We’re excited for a successful transition, and the opportunity to grow your business through even more innovations, information and communication moving forward!

Sincerely,

eBay’s Affiliates Managers

What is more from eBay blog?

What’s New

The eBay Partner Network will be run owned and operated by eBay, instead of using a third-party provider to handle logistics and payouts. This will help us build closer relationships with our affiliates, so that we can improve our tools and offerings more efficiently. Working in closer collaboration with our affiliates, we’ll be able to provide new and improved revenue opportunities and tools much faster than in the past — including the extension of our opportunities and products across our global markets.

How to use the eBay Partner Network
The new eBay Partner Network will officially launch on April 1st. Registration will open on that day.

After you register, you’ll be able to make money simply for driving traffic to eBay – even to your own listings! For example, if you have a website, include a widget showcasing your listings. Or if you keep a blog, put links on it to your eBay Store. Some sellers with off-eBay stores have even put eBay listings on them as a way to make a little extra money and offer more products to their customers.

You can earn up to a 75% rebate of your final value fees when you drive buyers to your own eBay Store. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/storefronts/promoting.html for more details.

What if I’m already an affiliate?
If you’re already part of the eBay affiliate program, all you need to do is sign up for the new program starting April 1st and change the tracking codes within your affiliate links. You will have until May 1st to change your links. After May 1st, all affiliate payouts will be made through the eBay Partner Network, instead of the old program.

Note: Any affiliate links you’re using for other eBay companies, such as Shopping.com, Stubhub, and Rent.com, do not need to be changed.

Hope the commission will be up, not down as Adsense 🙂
